Join the Global Recycling Day Clean-up Event in Brussels Organized by SURPASS Project and Waste Free Oceans
The SURPASS project, a European-funded initiative dedicated to promoting sustainable and recyclable plastics, in collaboration with Waste Free Oceans (WFO), an environmental NGO based in Brussels, invites you to participate in a city-wide clean-up event on Sunday, March 17th, in celebration of Global Recycling Day.
Plastic pollution remains a critical concern for public and environmental health, and the European Union is actively addressing these issues by supporting research projects like SURPASS. As part of our shared responsibility, we are hosting this event on Global Recycling Day to raise awareness and inspire collective action towards a more sustainable future.
Event Details:
- Date: Sunday, March 17th
- Time: 2:00 PM
- Meeting Point: Brussels [Meeting point will be shared shortly]
- Clean-up Material: Provided by Waste Free Oceans
- Complimentary drink and presentation: 6.30 PM
The event will commence with a walk through Brussels, equipped with waste pickers, gloves, and waste bags provided by WFO. Following the clean-up, participants are invited to enjoy a complimentary drink – not only a gesture of appreciation but also an opportunity to connect, share ideas, and network with like-minded individuals. The event will conclude with a presentation of the SURPASS project, showcasing the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting sustainability.
